Used Mercedes-Benz C Class AMG Line cars

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG Line is the sporty-looking trim within the wide C-Class range, which includes a range of body styles. AMG Line gives you similar styling to the high-performance Mercedes-AMG models, but without the high purchase and running costs.

A generous number of features are included as standard, and there’s a wide choice of petrol and diesel engines, or hybrid power if you prefer. You can also choose between saloon, estate, coupe and convertible models.    

The C-Class is Mercedes-Benz’s mid-size car, with premium rivals including the Audi A4, the BMW 3 Series and the Volvo S60. It sits in the range between the smaller B-Class MPV and the larger E-Class saloon.

The current, fifth-generation version of the C-Class has been on sale in the UK since 2021, but there are also lots of fourth-generation cars (sold new from 2014 to 2021) available. The C-Class has always emphasised comfort more than many of its rivals and that’s particularly true of the latest version, which remains one of the most popular cars of its type.       

AMG is a division within Mercedes that specialises in high-performance versions of the company’s cars. AMG Line models of Mercedes cars were introduced in the mid-2000s. They were a response to demand from customers for cars that looked like the high performance models but were much more affordable to run.

The current Mercedes-Benz C-Class is only available in AMG Line form but three versions of the model are available: the regular AMG Line, the AMG Line Premium and the AMG Line Premium Plus. The higher up the list, the more features are included.

There was a bit more choice of models with the older version of the C-Class. AMG Line sat at the top of the range, with Sport below it. Premium and Premium Plus versions were also available, as well as some other models like the AMG Line Night Edition.  

All the latest C-Class models are AMG Line, so there’s no difference there. For the previous-generation model, look for larger wheels than other models in the range, deeper front and rear bumpers and prominent rear spoilers, as well as deeper side ‘skirts’ below the doors.
