Used BMW SUVs

BMW makes a huge variety of SUVs. Each is named by the letter ‘X’ followed by a number, so you have X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7. Broadly speaking, the higher the number, the larger the car and the higher the price. There is also the iX3, which is an electric version of the mid-size X3 SUV model. High-performance ‘M’ versions of the X2, X3, X4, X5 and X6 are available.

The odd-numbered BMW SUVs (X1, X3, X5 and X7) are more traditional SUVs, while the even-numbered models (X2, X4 and X6) feature swoopy, coupe-like styling, which gives them a sportier look but slightly reduces headroom in the back. The BMW X1 is the smallest model, but still offers enough space for four adults plus luggage, while the X3 and X5 are larger both inside and out. The BMW iX3 is an all-electric SUV, based on the medium-size X3, that is due to go on sale in summer 2021. It’s capable of travelling as far as 285 miles on a single charge and is priced competitively compared with rivals from Jaguar, Mercedes and Audi.

BMW SUVs can be relatively expensive to buy but the same is also true of other premium-brand SUVs. BMW SUVs hold their value very well and all are well equipped. While some of the petrol engines use a lot of fuel, there are some very efficient diesel engines and several plug-in hybrid models are available.
