Used Vauxhall Mokka-e cars

The Vauxhall Mokka-e is a small electric SUV that would suit families with younger children or those drivers in need of a car that’s more practical than a small hatchback. It looks distinctive, the interior is packed with useful tech and it’ll give you up to 201 miles of very comfortable driving per full battery charge.

The Mokka-e is the electric model in the Mokka range, which also features cars with petrol and diesel engines. The Mokka has been sold new since 2020, when it replaced the Vauxhall Mokka X. The Mokka’s styling, interior and technology are entirely new, with nothing carried over from the older car. All Mokka-e models have the same 134 brake horsepower (bhp) electric motor, which gives you nippy acceleration when driving around town and gets you up to motorway speeds quickly.

You can choose from three main trim levels that Vauxhall calls SE Premium, SRi Premium and Elite Premium, and there’s a special Launch Edition too, which is loaded with equipment as standard.

All Mokka-e models feature an infotainment system with two large display screens. One is in front of the driver, in place of traditional dials, and shows you vehicle information, sat-nav maps, music selections and much more. The other is a touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard through which you can access and change the car’s various systems.

Standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for your phone, climate control, adaptive cruise control and a rear-view camera. High-spec models get extra features including heated leather seats.

According to official figures, the Mokka-e has a range of up to 201 miles on a fully charged battery. It’s compatible with 100kW public chargers, which can deliver an 80% recharge in as little as 30 minutes. Use a 50kW charger and a similar recharge takes about 45 minutes. A 7kW home wallbox charger will refill the battery in about 7.5 hours, costing much less than to fill a fuel tank. There’s also no Vehicle Excise Duty (car tax) to pay and, compared to other small electric SUVs it’s very good value, priced between the MG ZS EV and Peugeot e-2008.

Other small electric SUVs include the Peugeot e-2008, the MG ZS EV and the Kia e-Niro. Some of those rivals will give you more space and range than you’d get from the Vauxhall, but the Mokka-e’s distinctive styling, comfort and value hold a lot of appeal.
