How it drives
The C3 Aircross is comfortable to drive. The petrol and diesel engines are smooth and quiet, the suspension is soft, and the front seats are big and squashy. Some rivals are more fun to drive, but the C3 Aircross’ upright seating position and good view out of what’s around you makes parking easier. Some models even have a reversing camera. There’s no four-wheel drive version available, but an optional Grip Control feature helps to keep the front wheels from spinning on slippery surfaces.
The interior
The five-door Citroen C3 Aircross is one of the most practical compact SUVs around. The big 410-litre boot is good for three medium suitcases and there’s a handy slot to store the load cover if you remove it. Each of the five seats has lots of legroom and headroom. The entry-level Feel model has air con and a lane departure warning system. The Flair model adds sat nav, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. Flair also lets you slide the back seats forward and lower the boot floor to prioritise luggage space.
